THE popular summer Seisiún returned to The Hunt Museum last week and will run every Thursday evening at 7.30pm until August 11.
Fans of last year’s Seisiún were delighted to see the Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann concept return to this prestigious city centre venue as the series proved so popular last year. Once again there was plenty of song, storytellling, dance and Irish music to enjoy as the celebration of Irish culture returned to The Hunt Museum.
Those who attended the first week of the series of seven were in for a real treat as a fantastic array of musicians, dancers and storytellers shared their talents in a relaxed and intimate setting overlooking the River Shannon, with something for everyone of all ages in the family to enjoy.
Guests also enjoyed some light refreshments during a sos beag in The Hunt Museum River Café as they mingled and chatted before the second half of the evening.
Then guests were invited to put what they had learnt in the first half to the test as they were encouraged to take in part in the story telling, dancing and songs – making for a great night for all as you can see from our photos.
