Screen shot 2016-06-30 at 09.18.56AN article by Brendan Nel for SuperSport.com in South Africa, has claimed that Jean Kleyn of the Stormers will be joining Munster Rugby for next season. The 6’8″ second row is 22 years old and has featured for both the Stormers and Western Province.

The article lists over 40 players who are set to leave South Africa this summer, while it also lists South African coaches who are heading out of the country.

Of course, Munster will be coached by two of those ‘wild geese’ this season in the form of, Rassie Erasmus and Jacques Nienaber.

It is also believed that former Munster captain and now recruitment consultant to Munster Rugby,  Paul O’Connell, was instrumental in closing the deal for Kleyn. The move for the South African born (potential project player) will be seen as a strengthening of the second row area for Munster who have also signed Darren O’Shea from Worcester.

The final piece of Munster related information from the extensive and brilliant article is that former Munster winger Gerhard van der Heever will be plying his trade in Japan next season for the Yamaha Jubilo side.
