MUNSTER Rugby will face Racing Metro, Glasgow Warriors and Leicester, in Pool 1, of the 2016/17 Champions Cup. Rassie Erasmus’ side were seeded in the bottom tier following their sixth placed position in the Pro12 last season.
The stand out game of the Pool will surely be the return of Ronan O’Gara to Thomond Park as he now coaches Racing Metro. Munster will also have to face Pro12 side Glasgow, while once more they will face Leicester Tigers, who beat Munster home and away last season.
The remaining Pools are:
Pool 1: Racing Metro, Glasgow Warriors, Leicester, Munster.
Pool 2: Connacht, Wasps, Toulouse, Zebre
Pool 3: Saracens, Toulon, Scarlets, Sale Sharks.
Pool 4: Leinster, Montpelier, Northampton, Castres.
Pool 5: Exeter Chiefs, Clermont, Ulster, Bordeaux.
The ties are due to be played on the weekends as folllows:
