Macra to bring thousands to Limerick

Limerick Macra Rally 2016 was officially launched with much excitement last Wednesday evening in the Radisson Blu Hotel on the Ennis Road. Special guests included the Mayor of Limerick City and County Liam Galvin, representatives from sponsors GVM Group, Pat Dowling Deputy Chief Executive of Limerick City and County Council, Macra na Feirme National President Sean Finan, Also in attendance were local farmers who will be showcasing their agricultural enterprises to rally delegates from all over Ireland.

 

Chairman Aidan Liston from main sponsors GVM spoke of the Group celebrating 60 years in business and the positive influence Macra na Feirme, which was established 10 years previously, had on GVM Groups founding members.

 

The 2016 Macra na Feirme Annual Conference hosted by Limerick Macra will be held in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Ennis Road, Limerick from Friday October 28 to Monday October  31 for what promises to be an action packed weekend.

 

Up to 3,000 members are expected to visit Limerick for the Macra Annual Conference for activities including a fancy dress party, local farm tours, an agricultural conference, a banquet as well as several national competition finals.
