THE 2016 Bring your Limericks to Limerick International Poetry Competition will take place in August, a joint venture between Limerick Writers’ Centre and Global Limerick.
The competition final will take place on Saturday August 27 at The Savoy, another supportive partner, where details were announced.
Dominic Taylor, speaking on behalf of LWC, said that he was delighted to welcome Global Limerick Network on board as partners. He looks forward to developing the event further in the coming years, making it an integral part of the cultural life here. Their joint aim is to make “the Limerick verse form synonymous with the city”.
Top dog in Limericks International will win two nights’ accommodation in a deluxe room at the 5-star Savoy with breakfast, and dinner in Hamptons Bar & Grill.
