THE CURTAIN will come down on the 2015/16 soccer season this weekend, with the destination of the Premier league trophy to be decided on Thursday night.
Current leaders Carew Park, who have 52 points from 21 games, lead Pike Rovers by a single point going into the final round of games.
Favourites for the crown, Carew Park travel to the Garryowen green to take on Geraldines, as Pike Rovers travel to face Moyross.
Both games will kick off at 6.30pm and with the title on the line, coupled with the sunny weather, large crowds are expected at both games.
The final day showdowns were arrived at following last Thursday night’s action. Carew Park and Janesboro shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw as John Tierney put Janesboro in the lead. With only minutes remaining, Mark Slattery hit a cracker for Carew Park to tie up this fixture.
Pike Rovers stayed in the race getting the better of Fairview by the odd goal in three as the Hoops goals came through Colin Daly and Cian Collins while Colin Scanlon got Fairview’s goal.
