LIMERICK’S St Mary’s Cathedral will host a History and Heritage weekend on May 28 and 29 next with a programme of concerts, tours, floral displays and church services together with an artefact exhibition showcasing the cathedral’s 900 year history.
The festival opens at 10am on Saturday 28 with guided tours of the cathedral to be followed by a concert at 5pm featuring the Church Of Ireland Cathedral Choirs of Kilkenny, Waterford and Limerick.
After Sunday Eucharist at 11.15am, the Limerick Wind Ensemble will perform at 3pm with Evensong at 7pm.
