FORENSIC fire investigators, the Health and Safety Authority and Gardai are investigating the circumstances surrounding a blaze at the Thermo King factory in Shannon this Thursday.
fire crews from the Shannon Fire and Rescue were called to the plant shortly around 2.30pm on Thursday afternoon after the alarm was raised.
Three units from the service were responding to reports of a roof fire.
The blaze was quickly brought under control and extinguished but firefighters remained at the scene for a number of hours until the area was declared safe by dousing and cooling the building.
Speedy staff evacuation procedures were adhered to and there were no reports on injuries.
