Well-known #Limerick pubs to reopen

The former Round House bar on High Street is to change its name as it comes under new ownership

#LIMERICK landmark pub, the Round House on High Street, is to change its name as it comes under new ownership.

This week before Judge Tom O’Donnell, Michael McMahon applied for the liquor licence to be transferred into the name of his company, Mother Macs Ltd.

Donal O’Rourke BL, said his client was in possession of the property and was conducting renovations and would further comply with the requests of the fire officer.

Granting the application, Judge O’Donnell wished Mr McMahon well adding that he saw the outside of the premises recently and it had been painted up nicely.

In a separate application, O’Donnell’s on Wickham Street, which closed in 2013, is to reopen under the management of its owners.

Jacqueline Murphy applied to the court for the liquor licence to be transferred into to her name.

Judge O’Donnell granted the application subject to the conditions of the fire officer being satisfied.
