GARDAI are continuing their investigations following the seizure of €12,000 worth of cannabis in Limerick city last Thursday – the third drugs seizure in the city in as many weeks.
As a division-wide crackdown on the illegal drug trade in Limerick heightens, this is latest seizure is third seizure of cannabis in Limerick in as many weeks after Gardai discovered €12,000 worth of the drug in Dooradoyle on March 24 and €11,000 at a house on the Old Cratloe Road a week earlier.
The intelligence led searches were carried out by members of the divisional drugs units and local officers.
The drugs from the three seizures have been sent for forensic and technical analysis after gardai made a number of arrests.
