THE Wednesday meet of White House Poets continues at this O’Connell Street hostelry for literary folk tonight, March 16. Maggie Breen is the invited guest, a writer born in Wexford in 1979 and now living in Dingle.

Her debut collection of poetry ‘Other Things I Didn’t Tell’ was published in 2013. She was long-listed for the Fish Poetry Prize in 2015. Poems have been published in ‘The Stony Thursday Book’, ‘The Stinging Fly’, ‘The Scaldy Detail’, ‘Crannóg’ and ‘Southword’, among other publications.

Breen has performed readings at Cáca Milis Cabaret, Kildare Readers’ Festival and Ó Bhéal, among others. She has written, edited, presented and produced a 30-minute radio programme as well as other radio projects. Her short radio documentary ‘Murt’s Eggs’ was broadcast on RTE Radio One in September 2014.

Everyone is welcome to this open house to hear Maggie Breen read her various works, and there’s an open platform to other poets subsequently.
