A SECTION of the northbound M7 motorway between Castletroy and Birdhill has reopened following a road traffic crash this Monday morning.
The motorway, between junction 28 Castletroy and junction 27 Birdhill was closed up until lunchtime this Monday after four units from the fire service, three from Limerick and one from Newport, attended the scene just after 10:30am.
The emergency services attended at the scene together with Gardai and the emergency paramedics from the national ambulance service.
It is understood that traffic was backed up with motorists asked to avoid the area but shortly before lunchtime this Monday the road was reopened.
