A WOMAN has died following road traffic accident in County Limerick on Saturday night.
The woman, aged in her 30s, died in the single-vehicle accident – three passengers, including two children, were injured in the crash at the Applegreen service station at Coolanoran between Newcastle West and Rathkeale at about 11.30pm on Saturday night.
The male passenger and the two children – who were in the back seat of the car – suffered non life threatening injuries but were all taken to University Hospital Limerick for treatment.
A post mortem examination will be carried out this Sunday on the body of the woman after her remains were removed to University Hospital Limerick.
A Garda forensic examination of the scene had taken place and a full investigation is underway and anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact Newcastle West Gardaí.
