TRAD group FullSet will launch their new album at Dolanโ€™s on Saturday February 13. FullSet have been touring around Europe and North America for the past 12 months.

The sextet has a long affinity with Limerick, several members met while studying at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance. All are looking forward to the Limerick show and a chance to recall fond memories of their university days.
โ€˜Notes Between the Linesโ€™ is the new album following a definite theme in name and direction with the preceding records, โ€˜Notes at Libertyโ€™ (2011) and โ€˜Notes after Darkโ€™ (2013).

Eamonn Moloney, bodhrรกn player with the group, explained why Full Set returned to Sonas Studios to record the new album.
โ€œWe recorded โ€˜Notes Between the Linesโ€™ at Sonas Studios just outside Killarney with the brilliant Tony Oโ€™ Flatherty. We really enjoyed recording our second album here and the experience was every bit as positive this time around. The studio is situated on a stunning site right beside Lough Guitane and itโ€™s secluded location completely lends itself to a relaxing atmosphere, so I definitely think it brought out the best in the band.โ€

โ€˜Notes Between the Linesโ€™ is a great insight into how FullSet is a band bursting with energy, in full control and having such fun, yet being well able to bring things down to a tearful pause on โ€˜The Welcomeโ€™ or rip up the tarmac on โ€˜The Broccaโ€™.
Moloney adds, โ€œWith โ€˜Notes Between the Linesโ€™, I would say that weโ€™ve remained true to the sound we created on our previous two recordings but weโ€™ve definitely raised the bar and we would be confident in saying that this is our best work to date.โ€

The six talented and versatile young musicians have picked up very positive reviews since their debut in 2011.
Fiddle, flute, an uilleann piper from Italy, button accordion, bodhrรกn and guitar combine with the emotive voice of Marianne Knight to unleash a potent mix of traditional with a modern day edge.

โ€œThe blazing energy they possess is matched with confident instrumental skill and imaginative outcome,โ€ observed journalist John Oโ€™Regan, of this parish, in Irish Music Magazine.
โ€œThe breakout band at the Irish Fair of Minnesota 2013. They were able to connect to all ages, from mohawkโ€™d teenagers to their grandparents,โ€ reported Mike Wiley, entertainment director of Irish Fair of Minnesota.

FullSet will launch their new album at Dolanโ€™s this Saturday February 13.
