GARDAI are appealing for witnesses following a fatal crash at Gooig in Castleconnell on Sunday morning last.
Shortly after 6:15am on Sunday morning, a male pedestrian in his 40s was struck by a car and fatally injured at the scene.
The driver of the car was uninjured and the man’s body was taken to the University Hospital Limerick where a postmortem examination was carried out.
Garda Forensic Collision investigators examined the scene but Gardai at Henry Street are appealing for any witnesses to come forward ad contact them on 061 212400 or 1800 666 111.
