Drug charges for Limerick men

-

TWO brothers charged in connection with the seizure of €50,000 worth of heroin in Limerick have been remanded in custody to appear in court again next month. Brian Collopy (43) of Kilonan, Ballysimon and Kieran Collopy (40) of St Ita’s Street, St Mary’s Park, were charged with possession of heroin at St Ita’s Street, St Mary’s Park, Limerick on December 15. They were also charged with possession of heroin with intent for sale or supply. They were refused bail over Garda concerns that they would not attend trial. Judge Mary Larkin adjourned the case to next month after being told that the Director of Public Prosecutions still had to issue directions on how the case was to proceed.
