LOOKING ahead to the Spring schedule released by Irish Chamber Orchestra, Limerick dates at University Concert Hall to mark in your diary are Thursday February 11 and Tuesday March 15. Into the month of April next for Thursday 7โs date at St Maryโs Cathedral.
May is dedicated to touring with โThe Magic of the Moviesโ to smaller venues countrywide, from Sligo to Waterford.
Other news concerns the ICOโs move in Dublin from the RDS to the Round Room in the Mansion House, and Dublin concerts will begin earlier in this central venue, at 7.30pm.
Long term conductor and chief artistic partner Gรกbor Takรกcs-Nagy leads in the seasonโs programme on Wednesday February 10 in Dublin and Thursday 11 at UCH for 8pm.
He will introduce โDeath and The Maidenโ, โa programme featuring liturgical music of astounding beauty by Pergolesi, Haydn, Mozart and Schubert sung by soprano Ailish Tynan,โ according to Charlotte Eglington of the ICO.
