ROUND 11 of the Ulster Bank Rugby league takes place this weekend. Limerick’s seven senior sides are in action (weather permitting) in what promises to be a make or break weekend for those chasing play offs and for those looking to avoid a slip.
With two rounds of the British and Irish Cup to follow in the next fortnight, all sides will be waiting on Munster to decide who they can have and who are to be rested this weekend. Decisions which are currently deciding who wins and who loses from week to week.
Division 1A sees third placed Garryowen travel to table topping UCD. A huge win for Conan Doyle’s men over Clontarf last weekend will see the light blues in good form heading to the capital.
In the same Division, Young Munster will entertain Terenure on Saturday. ’Nure are second from bottom so a home win is almost assured here.
In Division 1B, Shannon can get back up the table this weekend as they travel to Dolphin. The men from Cork will either be strengthened by returning Munster stars, or will be ripe for the taking should they lose players such as Cian Bohane and the Scannell brothers.
In the same Division, UL Bohemians entertain Ballymena. The men from the North have twice as many points on the board as the Robins this season, so a home result would be a massive shock.
In Division 2A, ninth placed Thomond make the trip to Naas, while in Division 2C, table topping Old Crescent will face bottom side Dundalk. In the final fixture, Bruff should collect four points from a trip to Sligo.
