A TUMBLE dryer is thought to have been the cause of a fire which broke out a Limerick city Centre hotel this Wednesday evening.
Shortly after 6:45pm this Wednesday, Limerick City & County Fire & Rescue Service were alerted to a fire at a hotel on Denmark Street.
Three appliances from Limerick City Fire Service were mobilised along with backup from Shannon Fire Service to The Boutique Hotel.
On arrival Limerick Fire Service deployed two teams of Firefighters in full Breathing apparatus into the building.
The source of the fire was determined to be a Tumble Dryer on fire in a laundry area.
Crews and hotel staff evacuated all hotel Patrons and Fire Crews Extinguished the fire.
No injuries were reported.
Several floors were smoke logged and required ventilation before the crews were stood down.
