MUNSTER slumped to their fifth competitive defeat in a row tonight as they lost out 24-7 to Leinster at Thomond Park.
Tries from Isa Nacewa (4), Jack Mc Grath (55) and Zane Kirchner (80) secured an emphatic victory in a game Munster failed to get a foothold in.
Anthony Foley’s men did cross the white wash in the 38th minute through some quick thinking from Robin Copeland. Throughout the 80 minutes however, the better side on show, Leinster, made their class show, at ruck, scrum and line out time.
Ireland number 7, Sean O’Brien was named Man of the match for this performance in a game which now sees Munster sixth in the Pro12 table.
The home side also lost Keith Earls to a head injury in the 33rd minute. The Limerick man had been a bright spark for the men in red before his enforced departure.
Next up for Anthony Foley’s men is a trip to Ravenhill to take on Ulster on January 2.
