TALENT Scouts from ITV’s ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ will hold auditions in Limerick on Saturday November 28. According to Mike O’Connor of LGT (Limerick’s Got Talent), Thames TV has been in touch to arrange auditions for Limerick acts to appear in front of the TV production team to possibly go forward to London auditions.
“This is a fantastic recognition of the work being done by our local team and especially, it cuts out the large cost of many people who travel from Limerick to audition in Manchester, Liverpool or London,” adds Mike
Organisers from ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ stated that they are really trying to push for variety as they usually end up with a lot of singers.
“We would love to try get some magicians, dancers, am-dram societies, illusionist and singers on the day. As it’s the 10th anniversary of the show we are going for our biggest year yet and I know limerick has lots of talent so hopefully it will be a great weekend”, added the organisers.
The auditions will take place in Tait House, Roxboro Road on Saturday November 28 from 10am to 3pm. A PA system will be available music on CD or Flashdrive will be acceptable on the day if you do not have your own instruments.
