A NEW healthy eating initiative to show children how to prepare their own food will get under way in Limerick next week.

The ‘Eat Right To Be Bright’ campaign will kick off at the Limerick’s Milk Market Limerick from 10am on Friday, November 20. Fourth class pupils from the local St Michael’s National School will be given an insight into food preparation by Limerick chef and cookery school instructor, Keith Piggott, before eating their lunch together in The Milk Market.

Siobhan Downey of the Milk Market is inviting all Limerick schools to participate in future ‘Eat Right To Be Bright’ events that are planned for the New Year.

Applications can be made to [email protected] and www.milkmarketlimerick.ie
