ON the night that the Irish soccer team took a major scalp by beating the World Champions Germany at home in Dublin, Limerick gardai helped fans celebrate on the city’s main thoroughfare by blasting out “Put em under pressure” from their patrol car.

Galway native, Emmett Greene took to his mobile phone when the members on patrol ably responded to the sentiments of the night after Shane Long’s second half screamer sent Irish fans into jubilation during the Euro qualifiers.
Limerick fans then joined in on the chorus to much delight of the 3am crowds.
