UNIVERSITY Concert Hall and pantomime producer Robert C Kelly are looking for three teams of children to take part in this Christmas’ production of ‘Sleeping Beauty’. Those who audition successfully are going to begin their life on stage with “an outstanding cast of both local and national celebrities in a fully professional production”.
Open call dance auditions will take place at the UL based venue on Thursday October 22 at 6.30pm. These will be conducted by choreographer Belinda Murphy – currently busy with ‘Menopause the Musical’ and a cast of Mary Byrne, Linda Nolan, Sue Collins and Niamh Kavanagh.
Children aged from 7 to 11 years old are invited. Some dance experience is desirable but children do not need to be members of a dance or stage school. A height restriction of 4ft 10in applies.

‘Sleeping Beauty’ opens for school groups on Tuesday December 16 and runs until Sunday January 3 with two shows per day, excluding Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. There will be three teams of children, with each team taking part in one in every three shows.
