Detective Gardai, as part of an ongoing intelligence lead operation, searched a house at Mountpleasant, Kildimo, Co Limerick together with Gardai from Newcastle West and the Divisional Drug Unit from Henry St on Thursday night last uncovering a grow house.
During the course of the search Gardai discovered a cannabis plant cultivation operation in place at the house.
A total of €140,000 worth of cannabis plants (pending analysis) at various stages of maturity were discovered.
The scene was preserved for a technical examination, there were no arrest. Investigations are continuing.
Supt Tom O’Connor deecribed this as a sizable seizure.
