An illustration of the County Clare sea serpent, dating from 1871, resurfaced in London recently.
The frightening sea monster was first reported on by the Limerick Chronicle after it had been sighted at the area known as Diamond Rocks in the seaside town, all of 145 years ago. And seeing as its the silly season in the news business, the resurfaced Killkee sea monster has made the national headlines again.
Hermitage Green have urged all their fans to “bring fishing rods and cans so we can all get to the bottom of this.”
The band also happen to be in the seaside town to play a gig this Saturday August 15 at Kilkee Bay Hotel, Kilrush Road.
Expect to hear more than one tall tale of their exploits touring the world and looking for sea monsters.
Hermitage Green signed to Sony Records this year and are working on their debut studio album. In the meantime fans can expect to hear the band‘s new single ‘Quicksand’, ready for release in September.
Kilkee Bay Hotel has an extensive line up of entertainment running over the holiday period and comedian Brendan Grace will appear there on Saturday August 22.
