The TAKEOVER of Aer Lingus by British Amway’s parent company, IAG is expected to be completed in the coming weeks, now that IAG have agreed to conditions which will preserve connectivity at Shannon, Dublin and Cork.
The Government has formally accepted the IAG offer for its share in Aer Lingus after the airline agreed to terms which would guarantee the Heathrow slots for the coming seven years.
The connectivity commitment also included continued ownership by Aer Lingus of the slots and a clause that it would not be able to change the usage of the slots for at least seven years.
