The band will perform the classic Joy Division albums ‘Unknown Pleasures’ and ‘Closer’ in full preceded by an opening set of New Order material.
To coincide with Peter Hook’s Limerick show, the hugely influential Joy Division will be the focus of a two-day symposium at the University of Limerick on November 25 and 26.
Co-organiser of the symposium, Dr. Martin Power said: “Following on from successful international events on The Smiths, Morrissey and David Bowie, the Popular Music and Popular Culture Research Cluster at UL will examine the legacy of the iconic Manchester band over two days.
Peter Hook and The Light will perform in Dolan’s Warehouse on Thursday November 26. The huge influence of Peter Hook’s former bands and their enduring popularity with Limerick indie music fans will ensure that this gig will undoubtedly be a sell-out performance.
Tickets go on sale from www.dolans.ie, www.ticketmaster.ie from 9am this Thursday June 18.
