FANS of live music as well as matters culinary and comedy will head to Killarney’s Festival of Music and Food at Killarney House Demesne, Saturday June 27 and Sunday 29. It’s a scheduled two days of live bands and solo gigs, food demos, and chuckles in the Comedy Tent.
As well as legends such as Burt Bacharach, expect aromatic works by the country’s best chefs, all booked gigs performing across seven stages within a walk of the town.
At least 70 riveting international acts will be in Kerry. We write of Jools Holland,The Undertones, Mick Flannery, Declan O’Rourke, Texas, Duran Duran, The Frank & Walters, Gemma Hayes, Damien Dempsey.. the line up is outstanding.
For the Comedy Tent, there’s a club for kids as well as big names Neil Delamere, Foil, Arms & Hog, Chris Kent and more.
Cheffing and chafing dishes? Ross Lewis, Derry Clarke, Catherine Fulvio, JP McMahon of Aniar are in the magnetic mix. Food producers such as Ring of Kerry Lamb and Ballinskelligs Duck will populate the Killarney Festival Food Village and more than 20,000 festival goers will be drawn to these fields of music, laughter and the finest of Irish foods and cooking.
