IRISH Chamber Orchestra is set to celebrate the 7th birthday of Sing Out with Strings with a Magic Carpet ride to umpteen countries. Come along on Wednesday June 17 at 12noon to the concert hall to enjoy a 300 strong team of child musicians, singers and orchestra professionals.
The Magic Carpet celebrates 70 Years of the United Nations as children citywide perform traditional and original multi-cultural compositions in songwriting, violin and cello. The ICO speaks of “an imaginative toe-tapping musical journey featuring comedy and high drama…embracing worldwide cultures with brand new musical works from faraway lands, from Africa to the Americas, from India to Russia, across Europe and beyond”.
