LIMERICK motorists are being warned that the road at Junction 30 at the M7 and M20 interchange up until the Dock Road on the approach to the tunnel from Castletroy is closed at until further notice as emergency services tackle a vehicle on fire.
Motorists bound for the Limerick tunnel are urged to avoid the area and exit at junction 29 Ballysimon or junction 30 Rosbrien.
Gardai have issued a warning that heavy delays are expected on the route, but the tunnel remains open in both directions.
Emergency personnel from both the Limerick City and County fire and rescue together with Gardai and ambulance paramedics are at the scene.
