THE Limerick branch of Birdwatch Ireland have organised an early morning walk through the grounds of the University of Limerick to hear the many bird calls making up the dawn chorus. Early risers should meet at the University Concert Hall carpark at 4.45am this Sunday, May 17. Lead by Gordon Young, birdwatchers attending the event are reminded to have their mobile phones turned off. After building up a hearty appetite, the group will reconvene at the Kilmurray Lodge for breakfast.
