LIMERICK hairstylist Serena Crofton, from Limerick’s newest salon Fringe (formally Halo), has made it to the Irish regional heats of the prestigious International Wella TrendVision awards for the second year running.
Serena has already been recognised for her talent and skill when she beat hundreds of stylists from across the country as a finalist in the Irish regional heats last year. Competing against 20 others in the Young Talent category, Serena went on to secure a place in the UK and Ireland finals in London last October.
Entering this year under the Colour Vision category which focuses on colour expertise, Serena will have to show her creativity and technique with her own colour vision.
Speaking to the Limerick Post, Serena said: “I am so excited to have been chosen to compete again. It is one of the most prestigious competitions in the hairdressing industry and I am delighted to be representing Limerick.
Since winning last year I have had so many great opportunities. I have worked on music videos, photo shoots and charity events. It’s a tough competition but I just want to enjoy every minute of it.”
The Wella Trendvision awards are judged by some of the industries top international stylists. The heats will take place this August 24, at The Wella Studios, Dublin, where twelve finalists will be picked to travel to London for a chance to win the International Trendvision Awards.
