Divers were called in after the man’s and fishing gear were found on the banks of the River Shannon on Wednesday.

The alarm was raised when Nicky Lyons, a keen angler from the Island Fields, didn’t return home after a fishing trip and his fishing gear was found on the banks of the river near the bridge in Corbally.
