This is a huge opportunity to honour two of the greatest rugby ambassadors in Limerick city and their family by hosting the event in Thomand Park on Monday evening 13th April 2015. Historically this has been a highly contested clash with LIT reaping the rewards with a victory of 40 – 15 over UL last year.

A highly entertaining game will be provided by both sides. UL will be well represented with Eoin Cahill as head coach and Tadhg O’Donovan as the backbone of the side. While LIT is driven by head coach and rugby Development Officer Joy Neville and backs coach Brian Tuohy. Over the years some of Munster’s great players have played in this fixture, including former Munster captain Paul O’Connell, David Quinlan and Ian Costello, current Munster assistant coach, representing UL while representatives of LIT included long-serving prop Marcus Horan, Andrew Thompson and Colm McMahon.
