POETRY in Limerick gets a bump-up with Limerick Writers’ Centre and Quay Books in Arthurs Quay Shopping Centre supporting the concept that ‘April is Poetry Month’.
A host of activities is planned, one of the first being the monthly ‘On the Nail’ gathering in The Loft Venue, George’s Quay. Open house Tuesday 7 at 8pm.
On O’Connell Street, White House Bar is host at several poetry readings and World Book Day will be celebrated on Thursday April 23 in Arthurs Quay Shopping Centre. Pat McMahon of Quay Books is giving out roses with every book bought on the day. A special reading will take place that night in the Centre with local poets reciting favourites.
