SET aside time for the next ‘On the Nail’ gathering of literary minded consumers and those with a creative bent. Tuesday April 7 at Loft Venue, overhead Locke Bar and Restaurant at George’s Quay, will welcome Cork poet Patricia Walsh and Irish/ English linguist Mícheál O’Siochrú as guests who will read and discuss their works. Think 8pm.
From Baile an Sceilg, O’Siochrú is a teacher who has just published his fourth collection, ‘Rachlas’. Coincidentally, On the Nail co-ordinator Dominic Taylor is his editor. Patricia Walsh published a novel last year, ‘The Quest’ and is working on her second collection of poetry and a second novel.
As ever there is an open table for relevant merchandise so bring along CDs, recordings, books, old volumes for sale. And to close the evening expect an ‘open mic’ session to which all can be party, be that recital or song.
