FIANNA Fail TD Willie O’Dea has welcomed Limerick City and County Council’s plans to provide a small extension and car parking to the existing extension at Limerick city’s Mount Saint Lawrence Cemetery. Deputy O’Dea has also been told by the local authority that it will consider the provision of CCTV cameras for the car park when these works are being carried out. The local authority had previously agreed to install CCTV cameras in the cemetery following representations made by the Limerick TD after headstones were knocked down and broken into pieces as a result of a spate of vandalism.
