LIMERICK people opposed to water charges are being asked to take part in the national ‘Right2Water’ demonstration in Dublin this Saturday, March 21. A number of buses are being organized from Limerick for Saturday’s protest and Sinn Féin city North councillor Maurice Quinlivan said the demonstration was to show the government that water charges are unacceptable, that access to water is a human right and water is not a commodity. “This Saturday families from across the state will gather in Dublin City to protest peacefully against this unfair and unjust tax. The abolition of water charges is a red line issue for us entering government after the next election and we will stand by our pledge to abolish these,” he said.
