COUNTY Limerick Beekeepers’ Association will host a talk by well-known beekeeper Tom Prendergast at Mungret GAA clubhouse on Thursday, March 12 at 8pm. Mr Prendergast, who has kept 100 hives in a number of apiaries throughout Tipperary, will talk on ‘Opening the Hive — spring management’. He will discuss in detail the ‘five Hooper questions’ on when you open your hive and how to prepare your stock for the coming honey flow.
