FOR the fourth year running Limerick has emerged as the destination where visitors got the most value for money when booking a hotel room. According to the latest price index from Hotels.com, Limerick hotels offered the best value room rates, despite a 12 per cent increase, at an average of €76 per night. The figures are based on bookings made on Hotels.com and prices shown are those actually paid by customers around the world in 2014. Matthew Walls from Hotels.com said that although there was a rise in the average cost of rooms in Limerick, the county still offered the best value for money in Ireland making it an ideal destination for those travelling on a budget.”
