218 applications for repossession of homes have been listed for this Friday’s sitting of Limerick Circuit Court.
County registrar Pat Wallace is scheduled to hear the cases and one ex-parte application from a financial institution in his second repossession list for the current year which is one of the largest in the country.
Fourteen Limerick property owners were ordered to leave their homes for failing to meet their mortgage repayments after banks and financial institutions made 115 applications for repossession at Limerick Circuit Court on January 2.
It is understood that a number of protestors will stage a protest outside the court this Friday as part of a campaign of opposition to mortgage holders being pursued by banks and other lending institutions through the courts.
