Limerick to host undefeated Armagh in Kilmallock

Screen shot 2015-02-26 at 10.24.51THE LIMERICK footballers return to action this Sunday at they face Armagh at 2pm in Kilmallock.
John Brudair’s men will be fully aware that winning home matches are vital for survival, however the unbeaten northern side will arrive as firm favourites for the clash.
With two wins from two, Kieran McGeeney’s men sit atop Division 3 with four points. Wins over Tipperary (2-8 to 0-13) and Wexford (2-13 to 1-8) have been more impressive than the scoreline suggests and the pre-season favourites for promotion come to Limerick in search of another two points.
Limerick, themselves on two points after an opening round win over Sligo, face an uphill battle this weekend. A 1-14 to 1-2 loss to Tipperary last time out left a lot to be desired from a scoring conversion point of view. Limerick did create enough chances to be well in contention at a fog bound Thurles, but their inability to turn midfield possession into points was once more their Achilles’ heel.
Limerick manager John Brudair will hope that Limerick can improve on their second round display as things at the bottom of the table could come down to scoring difference at the end of the season. Limerick will not want to attempt to stay up based on ‘over the bar’ points scored.

Probable Limerick line up:
Brian Scanlon; Seán O’Dea, Johnny McCarthy, Robert Browne; Iain Corbett, Pádraig Browne, Cillian Fahy; Tom Lee, Gearóid Hegarty; Darragh Treacy, Danny Neville, Seanie Buckley; Mikey Lyons, Cian Sheehan, Stephen Cahill.
