IN early 2014 over 800 Irish musicians, from a heady mix of genres uploaded their music to www.guinnessamplify.com as part of the Guinness Amplify initiative to connect new music talent with audiences. Hundreds of gigs took place countrywide throughout September 2014, including a number of surprise performances from Disclosure, Duke Dumont and Ellie Goulding.
Following months of studio recording, rehearsal time and workshops, 22 bands have been chosen by an expert music panel, David Kitt, Jonny Quinn, Nialler9, Sinead Troy and Stuart Clark, to perform at the Guinness Amplify Live Stages nationwide.

Panellist Jonny Quinn of Snow Patrol commented that he was very impressed with the standard of the Guinness Amplify entrants.
