IRISH Youth Choir (IYC) reports “an eclectic programme of choral singing” for the year ahead. Directed by Greg Beardsell, conductor since 2008, there’s a residential course ahead taking place on UL campus, home of the Association of Irish Choirs. Expect a daily routine of physical and vocal warm-ups, sectional and full choir rehearsals, sports and recreational activities.
IYC is looking for singers to audition, aged from 18 to 28, who will be available from Sunday June 28 to Monday July 6 inclusive. Auditions take place in UL this Saturday February 21 and you can find out more online at www.aoic.ie/iyc or tel. 061-234823.
