FIANNA Fáil councillor Kevin Sheahan has claimed that certain customer service staff members at the Council’s Rathkeale office used to “slip away out the back door” when they saw him coming to making representations on behalf of his constituents. Cllr Sheahan told the council executive at this month’s Adare-Rathkeale municipal district meeting that the practice had made it impossible for him to do his job. “This is totally unacceptable. It’s not right,” he added. “How can you expect people to do their jobs if this is their mentality? How can you believe what you’re being told when this is how people behave?” he asked.
