SHANNON RFC will launch details of the first ever D KUBE Night at the Strand Hotel this Thursday February 19 at Limerick Strand Hotel, 7pm.
In a new departure for fund raising activity, the club brings the D KUBE phenomenon to the Mid – West region for the first time.
Based on the popular TV Game programme ‘The Cube’, presented by Philip Schofield, the D Kube Night presents participants with a number of difficult cryptic and physical challenges, testing their skill in accuracy and precision.
Shannon RFC D Kube night on Thursday March 12 will have a prize fund of €3,000 and the club is reaching out to companies, and sport and social clubs across the region to pitch their own teams to take part in this unique games night.
There will also be a Bonus Celebrity Game in which well known sports and other personalities will pitch their own skills in the Kube, to raise funds for a number of local charities.
The night will be limited to eight teams of five bodies with each team encouraged to sell tickets to their own supporters to come along and cheer them on for the night. Shannon RFC need funds to support their ongoing programme of work with underage teams to their senior squad.
The night’s games’ will be presented and co-ordinated by RTE’s Lorcan Murray, whose task it will be to explain to, and encourage participants to take the courageous walk into the D Kube.
Limerick first D Kube night will take place at Limerick Strand Hotel on Thursday March 12 at 8pm.
