THE Ulster Bank League returns this weekend with two massive Limerick derbies on the cards. First up, in Division 1B, Shannon entertains Garryowen on Friday night at Thomond Park. Garryowen, Limerick’s best bet at promotion in this division, are favourites for this weekend’s clash by virtue of their higher position in the league and their win in this fixture earlier in the year.
In the same division, UL Bohemians, having won their first league game in seven last time out, travel to Belfast Harlequins where a win is must, if not expected.
In the top tier, Young Munster travel to Ballynahinch looking to cement their place in the playoffs, while Thomond are on the road to Dublin to face Old Wesley.
The second Limerick derby is between Richmond and Old Crescent. The tie will be played at the Canal Bank which now sports a new clubhouse and lights. Well worth a visit!
In Munster news, the side turn their attentions to Pro 12 action this weekend at they travel to face Glasgow on Saturday at 2.40pm. The game, which is live on Sky Sports, sees first, Munster, play third placed Glasgow in what is sure to be a clash every bit as intense as last weekend’s loss to Clermont.
