MORE than 30 young and adult musicians take part in Limerick Jazz Workshop’s module of community education weekly.
Meeting in The Hub, Kileely by evening, “a key part of the learning process is for students to take the plunge and play live in front of an audience,” reports saxophone teacher, Ed Hansom. ”This year’s Christmas gig takes place in Dolan’s Upstairs on Sunday December 7 from 4-7pm.
“It will feature student ensembles including a ‘little big band’ and singers accompanied by the Limerick Jazz House Trio”.
Come along and swing into the season while catching up great local musical talent, reads their invitation. Always a vibrant, happy gig enhanced by jazz vocalists, Dolan’s even serve finger food for the morsel of a €5 ticket.
