LIMERICK Institute of Technology’s MarketLink Entrepreneur programme requires students to put their thinking caps on and to develop a business. Students work in groups and develop their business right through from the initial idea generation to the final launch, which takes place at the Christmas exhibition this Thursday. The event is open to the general public, LIT students, staff and local schools.

Students from various courses including Management and Marketing, Social Care, Sports Management and Events and Tourism come together with over 40 stalls on this fantastic day of festivities and fun, all with one common goal in mind, to sell as much as they can and raise as much as possible for their chosen charities.

Eoghan Sadlier, Head of Department of Business, LIT believes “MarketLink develops in participants two of the competences most crucial to the future of Irish business – social responsibility and creativity.  Many students who have previously participated in MarketLink remember it as one of the highlights of their studies at LIT.”

The MarketLink Christmas Fair takes place this Thursday November 27 from 10am to 3pm.
